The founder and CEO of Wear Nation clothing, Nana Kyei embarked on a charity event on the 26th of December 2017 which he has termed as #ProjectMACS.
This event is a product of his series of events that happens once every year. The founder of Wear Nation does not only have passion for fashion but most importantly his desire is to help under-privileged children enjoy the festive season.
This project came to being when he accompanied a friend to the Tamale orphanage in 2013. He realized how privileged he was as a kid to enjoy the festive season as any child should even though he wasn’t from a well-endowed family.
This led to his yearly ‘give-aways’ to children in other communities who do not have enough to feel the breeze of Christmas with his close friends. Since 2013, Nana Kyei has been to Yundoo, Gomu and Gbalahi to help ‘make a child smile’. Treats like jollof rice with chicken, drinks (sobolo, mashed kenkey, healthy life etc) are served to the children.
#ProjectMACS is achieved from the profits of the Wear Nation clothing and also from donations.
Nana Kyei is hoping to make this initiative a twice a year affair.
