The winner of the 2016 edition of the Miss Samanpiid beauty pageant, Fidelia Adilip, has begun a series of humanitarian projects geared towards actualising the purpose behind the pageant.
The twenty-three year old representing Bawku who promised to preach peace and support brilliant but needy students across the various districts in the Kusaug Kingdom visited some individuals and organisations to discuss collaboration towards implementing her projects.
Recently, Fidelia paid a courtesy call on Hon. Ayariga, Hon. Kuganab-Lem, Hon. Hawa Ninchiema, Mr. Isaac, Poanab Alasbudi, Bawku Naba Asigri Abugrago Azoka II & the elders of the land to show appreciation for their efforts toward the success of the pageant and to further solicit their continuous support for her projects.
According to Ayelbis Entertainment , whose team manages the miss samanpiid work portfolio, Fidelia Adilip’s reign is very inspiring.
Miss Samanpiid’s project titled “Helping brilliant but needy students” revolves around making a difference in the lives of people especially the youth. The project was two-fold; she encouraged the students to study hard and not to give up because things are tough to get learning materials and also to desist from conflict / the effects on conflict and to always preach peace.
“Fidelia will have hands-on-experience in community development work, and is determined, through this project, to serve her Kusaug kingdom with passion.”
“Her project is set to indeed make immeasurable change”.
According to Fidelia, being a beauty queen goes beyond wearing a crown.
Fidelia said: “I want to be a role model to young girls desiring to win in beauty pageants. I believe it is extremely important to give back to the community and nation who voted me to become the winner.
She further stated that “Queen Fidelia appreciates Ayelbis Entertainment for hosting the edition of the pageant that produced me as the Queen and for providing the star prize of a Motor Bike.”
Unlike most beauty pageants, Miss Samanpiid is culturally inclined with elements meant to enhance the restoration of lost values in the Kusaug woman.
Among the schools visited by this year’s Miss Samanpiid are Presby JHS – Bawku, Watania JHS – Bawku, Hamdaniya JHS – Zebilla, Kpalugu JHS – Binduri.
The team has plans to visit Garu and Pusiga district in subsequent weeks.
