Bakilla Promotes Northern Music in Europe

Northern artistes, in recent times, have worked hard to promote northern culture no matter where they find themselves.

Belgium-based artiste, Bakilla, proves this fact. Born Seidu Iliyasu and a native of Tamale, Bakilla has been a professional musician for two years. His stage name, Bakilla, is the name of his grandfather.

Bakilla could not further his education because he did not get the funds that he needed to support his pursuit of education. His love for music grew as he grew older. Ultimately, he decided to setup a home studio and record a few songs. He released a song titled, A Gbuna Maa,  which was a banger and still is. He later released a track featuring Fancy Gadam, Turn Up, which also gained wide recognition. His latest release is Ginger me which he worked on with Don Sigli is currently making waves in the Northern Region.

The Ginger Me star who is recognized as an international artiste has teamed up with other international artistes on various occasions. Bakilla recently did the opening act for Stonebwoy and is preparing to do another for Sarkodie’s upcoming show in Belgium.
