Lamisi recently hit the Ghanaian music scene with her single Tanka Fanka. The young songstress is stretching her wings beyond Ghana to reach an international audience. A few days ago, she thrilled music fans in Kazakhstan with her vocal talents.
The young musician performed at this year’s International Trade Festival/Expo which was held in Astana, Kazakhstan. The expo’s theme “Future Energy”, aims to create a global debate between countries, non-governmental organizations, companies and the general public to show the world that Solar Energy is a viable source of power. The expo features over 120 countries globally and each is given a day to showcase their culture (music, dance, fashion among others). Ghana performed on the 12th of July where the sensational Tanka Fanka star performed in collaboration with the Fusion Band.
Lamisi, the Afro-pop singer who just hit the limelight performed at the event due to her rising significance in the music industry. She was the only artiste who performed at the event together with Fusion Band representing Ghana; a big step forward in her musical career. Her performance at the expo positions her as one of the few Ghanaian artistes who have been associated with clean energy and discussions on climate. Hopefully, she will use her experiences at the expo to contribute to the budding conversation on climate change in Ghana.
When asked why she was chosen over other artistes to perform at the Expo, the Tanka Fanka singer said that she believed that the project director may have selected her because she was the best fit for the event and perhaps her style aligned with the vision that the director had for the project.
The Afropop artiste who is known for singing, exhibited her dancing and acting skills which might come as a pleasant surprise to her fans.
