Nuru, The Most Promising African Artiste Nominee at the AFRIMA Awards

News of Nuru’s nomination sent shock-waves down the spine of  stakeholders of Ghana’s entertainment industry. The young rapper from the Tamale emerged as one of the candidates to win an award previously held by our very own Wiyaala and presently Nigeria’s new kid on the block; Kiss Daniel.

Many consider him an enigma for being verified across all social media platforms and having his ‘In A Moment’ video premiered on MTV base, despite being considered an ‘underground’ act  For those of us who know him up close, Nuru’s talent has never been in doubt and the meticulous manner in which he runs his business is a perfect template for others to follow.

nuru-nomiTo be considered as one of the most promising artistes on the African continent is an enviable feat. Alongside several high profile nominees like: Okyeame Kwame, Sarkodie, EL, Stonebwoy, Bisa K’dei, Mizvee, et al is definitely a feather in the cap of Nuru’s blossoming musical career.

It’s worth noting that Nuru featured Edem last year on ‘Mali Zani’ ; a hot rap joint that has made inroads in Eastern and Southern Africa, where hip-hop music is commercial. He’s also collaborated with other A-list acts across the continent, some of which are still the works. The few we can tell you about are: Cassper Nyovest, Sarkodie, Dee Money, Runtown and Ice Prince Zamani.
